| 1963-64 | – | St. Cloud Manor is built. There are six original owners who build it as a real estate investment. The facility has 108 beds. |
| 1965-66 | – | The owners put on an addition |
| 1973 | – | The original owners sell St. Cloud Manor to Martin Harmon |
| 1976 | – | Darwin Schwantes moves to St. Cloud and purchases into the operating corporation for St. Cloud Manor |
| 1981 | – | Schwantes buys into half of the leasing corporation affiliated with St. Cloud Manor |
| 1984 | – | St. Cloud Manor adds dining room and ancillary space |
| 1992 | – | St. Cloud Manor changes its name to Talahi Care Center |
| 1998 | – | A partial rebuild of the nursing facility takes place, adding private rooms and adult day care space |
| 1999 | – | Talahi adds assisted living |
| 2003-05 | – | Talahi undergoes a significant construction project, essentially rebuilding the nursing home inside the existing shell, including adding beds and expanding assisted living. The campus now has 77 nursing beds and 34 apartments/units for assisted living. |

| Education: | Graduated from Mankato State University with a degree in biology; received his long-term care administrator’s credential from the University of Minnesota. |
| Work experience: | Marine Corps veteran, did route sales for Northland Beverages, worked at Inver Grove Care Center in South St. Paul for two years before joining St. Cloud Manor. |
| Family: | Two adult children |
| Hobbies: | Doing things outdoors: gardening, fishing, helping people build houses and garages. Past experience with Habitat for Humanity. |
